Lunch Time : Kettering Central Park

Image
Yesterday a few of us from work heading over to Kettering Central Park (also know as Lincoln Park) to take pictures. I took the 105mm again to play around with micro photography. Upon arrival we found that the park was under construction and we were all wondering what type of images we were going to take. It was very windy, which made the micro photography a little difficult to focus. It actually turned out great that the park was under construction because we all had to think outside of the box a little bit. Here are a few images I got from this lunch excursion.

Lunch Time : Siebenthaler Fen

Image
We ventured out to Beavercreek to the Siebenthaler Fen  today on our lunch break. My friend lent me his 105 mm Micro lens to play around with. I was hoping that with the rain maybe I would see some frogs or bugs but had no luck. These are a few of my favorites from the shoot out. I can't wait for flowers to start blooming. Starting to feel like everything around me is brown. It was nice to see some green and yellow today.

Lunch Time : Sugarcreek Reserve

Image
I went out on my lunch break today to Sugarcreek Reserve in Bellbrook with a few co-workers. As they scouted for a towhee and turkey vultures, I kept my focus on the ground. I'm shooting with my new Nikon 750, which I love so far and my 50mm Nikkor 1.8. It's still very cold here in Ohio and nothing much has started to bloom. They sky is murky gray and the ground is brown. I'm so ready for the sun to shine again and the green leaves to come back. Soon enough it will be Spring. These are my favorites from today's shoot out.

Natalie's 3

Image
These past three years have been the best years of my life. I couldn't have asked for a more special gift than my beautiful daughter Natalie. She is an amazing little girl who ridiculously funny and often makes me laugh out loud daily. She is so kind, smart and beautiful both inside and out.  Happy third birthday, Natalie! I had so much fun taking her three year pictures, she did amazing. I absolutely adored the set up by Lost and Found Vintage Rentals . Jennifer did an amazing job with the set up and Natalie had a blast playing with all the different props. These are just a few of my favorites!

Emme : 2 Years Old

Wow, time is really flying by, who can this cutie be 2 already.  Actually, she was two in December and I'm just now posting my favorites from her adorable session at Lost and Found Vintage Rentals. Where did time go? Miss Emme is absolutely adorable with tons of personality. She is so curious about everything and very quick. We had a lot of fun playing in the studio and even got some great pictures. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites.

Baby Graham : 9 Months

Image
This little guy is a true miracle. He has to be the happiest baby I've ever meet. I'm so in love with him and I'm so lucky to be his aunt. Graham was born at 28 weeks and only weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. In his first 5 months of life, he had many surgeries and had to stay at Dayton Children's during that time. I remember going to visit him and just wanting to hold him or touch him and not being allowed. When I finally got to hold him, I didn't want to let him go. I'm so thankful for all the prayers and help my brother and sister in law received at that time. Now the little guy is doing wonderful, he is starting to sit up, rolls all around and loves playing with his feet. He giggles and talks all the time. When I got to watch him this weekend, I was overjoyed at how far he has come. He has the most gorgeous big blue eyes and a smile that melts your heart. I just had to do a mini session with him :)

Snow day : Natalie and Rory

Image
The girls had to go outside and enjoy the snow Sunday afternoon. I was not able to get any "good" images of Natalie during our play time in the snow. She was running around to fast for my camera but miss Rory stopped to pose for the camera a few times. She was so cute, picking up the snow and putting it on her head. I loved the purple hat with her beautiful red hair. I'm so glad our friends came to visit us this weekend and we got to play in the snow. Even if it was only for a few minutes. I wasn't sure we were going to get snow this year.
