Many Different Faces of Nora

The Many Different Faces of Nora

I had the privileged of photography one of my friends from work daughter a few weeks ago. Let me tell you, she is an absolute doll face. We had a great time getting her to smile and laugh. There were many different songs and toys used to capture these great expressions.

The first few, Nora just wasn't to sure about the camera but I love this pose of her. She could be a baby model for J Crew. Her cute little hand at her side and those giant blue eyes!

Everyone loves sock monkey! Finally starting to see that precious smile starting to show up.
Tim's back yard was great for the photo shoot. There was a nice row of trees in a shaded area which made for a perfect location for Nora's portraits.

We were also able to capture some great candid family pictures that I think will make perfect Christmas Cards and family gifts!
Thanks Tim, Christine and Nora! I had a great time hanging out and photographing the family.

Old Mission Peninsula

Well it's been awhile since I've posted pictures. It's not as easy now that my laptop has crashed and I've having to use my husband Josh's computer to edit pictures. Back in June, my husband and I went to house sit for some friends of ours in Traverse City, Michigan. This is my new favorite place to vacation. It's not to far of a drive from Dayton, Ohio and it's absolutely beautiful.

One of our favorite places to visit while we are in Michigan is the Old Mission Peninsula. It is a great way to spend the day. We started out the day by enjoying wine tasting at Chateau Chantal. My favorite was the Late Harvest Riesling. The view from the vineyard was breath taking looking over the vines of grapes, out to the crystal blue lake.

After enjoying a glass of wine, well really Josh enjoyed his glass of wine, out on the balcony, we headed to grab a bit to eat at Peninsula Grill. It was very tasty and not crowded for lunch.

Once our tummies were full, we head to Mission Point Lighthouse to do some exploring.  The water here is amazing. At times you can not tell where the horizon line reaches the water.

This trip we had perfect blue sky's which allowed for some great images of the lighthouse.

Also on site is the Hessler Log Cabin and walking trails that you can explore at your own pace. We have yet to venture out on these trails.

All in all, it was a fantastic day exploring the peninsula and I look forward to our next Michigan adventure!
